Psalm 139, specifically verses 14, 16 & 18
“For it was you who formed my inward parts;
Psalm 139: 13-18
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
that I know very well.
My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes beheld my unformed substance.
In your book were written
all the days that were formed for me,
when none of them as yet existed.
How weighty to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
I try to count them—they are more than the sand;
I come to the end—I am still with you.“
Reading these verses…”I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (14), “Your eyes beheld my unformed substance” (16), and “I come to the end I am still with You(18).” I am reminded that I was created by God the Father. He knew me, beheld me before I began to form in my mother’s womb; He beheld me when I was nothing more than an unformed substance. I was nothing and God beheld me. And at the end of my life here on earth I will still be with my God and creator. He knew, knows me and he knew, knows you! Think about that my friend. How reassuring God’s intimate knowledge of each of us is, especially in these difficult times we live in. We can rejoice and be assured and comforted by this knowledge, this most intimate of relationships. Today I can proclaim His name and sing his praises daily, sharing moments of prayer, encouragement and telling all those sweet little ones that God loves them. One asked me how I knew this, and the answer was easy – because He love me. How does this scripture move you, are you grateful for all He has done for you and do you share that praise freely?
